Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sortie Live ("sortie.live", the "Site", the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Site. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ZeroShare LLC ("ZeroShare", "we", "us", "our").

2. Description of Service

Sortie Live is a data aggregation and visualization tool that displays conflict-related events on an interactive map with timeline playback. The Service aggregates publicly available data from third-party sources including ACLED, GDELT, wire services, and RSS news feeds.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ZEROSHARE LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; (C) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE; OR (D) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL ZEROSHARE LLC'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00). THE LIMITATIONS OF THIS SECTION SHALL APPLY TO ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, STATUTE, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR OTHERWISE.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. ZEROSHARE LLC DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

8. Intellectual Property

Sortie Live aggregates and links to content from third-party sources. We do not claim ownership of third-party content including, but not limited to, news articles, event data from ACLED or GDELT, images, or any other material produced by third parties. All such content remains the intellectual property of its respective owners.

The Sortie Live name, logo, visual design, and original software code are the property of ZeroShare LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

9. Fair Use

Our use of article headlines, thumbnails, and brief summaries from third-party news sources constitutes fair use for news aggregation and research purposes under applicable copyright law. We link to original source material to drive traffic to the original publishers and always attribute content to its source.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service contains links to third-party websites and services that are not owned or controlled by ZeroShare LLC. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You acknowledge and agree that ZeroShare LLC shall not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss caused by or in connection with the use of any third-party content, goods, or services.

11. Donations

Donations made through the Service are voluntary, non-refundable contributions to support the operation of Sortie Live. Donations are processed by Stripe, Inc. and are subject to Stripe's terms of service. ZeroShare LLC does not store credit card information. Donations do not entitle the donor to any services, features, or preferential treatment.

12. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to interfere with, compromise the system integrity or security of, or decipher any transmissions to or from the servers running the Service
• Scrape, spider, or crawl the Service in a manner that places undue load on our infrastructure
• Use data from the Service to create competing products without attribution
• Misrepresent Sortie Live data as your own original reporting

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ZeroShare LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of ______________, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in ______________, and the parties hereby consent to personal jurisdiction and venue therein.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ZeroShare LLC regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
